Finally! An update...
Posted: April 17, 2008
I would like to begin by apologizing for not posting more often. Life seems to be passing by at a rapid pace and my days have started to blend. There is not much new going on with Ashley and I. We are still in the process of trying to train the puppy we adopted from her sister in the Fall...needless to say, it has been a struggle! The end of Winter/beginning of Spring brought both excitement and disappointment. The excitement was that we welcomed the newest member of our family on February 20, 2008. Ashley's sister had a baby boy, Jack. It is our first nephew so it is a new adventure for us. He is the main reason we have been spending so much time in Knoxville lately. It seems like he doubles in size everytime we see him. The weeks we do not get to go home, her family sends us updated pictures so we do not miss anything. The disappointment was Tennessee Men's Basketball. Being the die hard fan that I am, I was launched into a deep state of depression the weekend of the SEC tournment and the Elite Eight tournament. Oh well...there is always next year...
That's all for now...will update soon.
My New Place of Employment
Posted: June 11, 2007
It's official...I have accepted a new position with an interactive design firm in Gainesville, GA. I will be working for Red Clay Interactive as a Creative Designer. My wife and I are extremely excited about this opportunity and are looking forward to embarking on this new journey in our life. While it will be tough to leave friends and family in Knoxville, we feel this is the right time to pursue a career goal of mine...working for a well-known interactive design company so I can further develop my design skills and become a better artist.
There are a few people I want to thank: I want to thank our family for being so supportive and helping us through this decision. I want to thank all of the great people in the Knox County Information Technology Department, you all have been an incredible team to work with. I want to thank Red Clay for the opportunity to be part of such a great organization. Most of all, I want to thank God for giving us this opportunity and continuing to bless us every step of the way.
March Madness

March is one of my favorite months because I am a HUGE college basketball fan. While I am a dedicated fan of the Tennessee Vols, my second dedication is to the Duke Blue Devils. Fortunately, my wife and I were able to get season tickets to the Tennessee Men's team. It was a great year for Tennesse...at least when they played at home. However, it was also extremely intense and often hard to watch. I am addicted to following the stats and rankings of all the teams. The perfect ending to a great season for the Vols would be a spot in the Final Four. GO VOLS!
